Best Party Photo Sharing Apps (2026): Free & Paid Compared
The best photos of your party are already taken. They're just spread over 40 phones, and the "send me your pics!" message in the group chat gets three replies and a thumbs up.
A party photo sharing app fixes that: guests scan a QR code and every photo lands in one album. We compared six of them on price, free plans, ease for guests and how much fun they add. Full disclosure: we make Lense. To keep the comparison fair, every app is scored on the same rules, every price links to the provider’s own website, and we’ll tell you where another app is the better pick.
The apps that will be compared are:
Lense
POV
GuestPix
Kululu
Fotify
Google photos
The short answer
Party photo sharing apps come in two kinds. Shared album apps collect the photos guests already took. Disposable camera apps give every guest a camera on their phone, with a limited number of shots and a reveal, so taking photos becomes part of the party. Most comparisons only cover the first kind; we compared both.
Don't want to read the whole comparison? These are the three to look at first. Scores are out of 5; how we got them is explained below.
1. Lense (4.8/5): best overall, and the most fun for guests. Every guest gets a disposable camera on their phone, with a shot limit and a reveal you choose. Unlike POV, the live photo wall is included, guests keep shooting offline, and you can add video or unlimited shots. A 50-guest party costs $14.99 one-time.
2. POV (4.1/5): the best-known disposable camera app. Same idea and base price as Lense, with the biggest review base. The live slideshow is a paid extra, and its site lists no video or unlimited shots.
3. Google Photos (2.9/5): best if it has to be free. A shared album costs nothing and has no event limits. It is also the least fun: guests upload photos they already took, it is built around Google accounts rather than party guests, and there is no reveal or photo wall.

What makes a good party photo sharing app?
We fixed six criteria and their weights before looking at any app. Each app scores 1 to 5 per criterion, based on what the provider publishes. We also joined the public guest demos of Lense and Kululu on a phone, to see the guest side for ourselves.
Fun during the party (25%): camera with shot limit and reveal = 5; photo wall or games without a camera = 3; album only = 2.
Easy to join (20%): QR code in the browser, no download or account.
Value for money (20%): what you get for the price at 50 guests.
Live photo wall (15%): included = 5, paid add-on = 3, none = 1.
Reviews (10%): App Store rating, or the provider's own site for web-only services; no public rating = 3.
Photo and video limits (10%): unlimited photos and video both included = 5, one of the two = 4, neither or not listed = 3.
Fun weighs the most on purpose. People looking for a party photo app want guests to join in, not just a place to store files. It is also where disposable camera apps like Lense and POV win, so we'd rather say that openly than hide it in the weights.
The 6 party photo sharing apps compared at a glance
All six collect guest photos in one shared album, and all except Google Photos let guests join by QR code in the browser. The real differences are how guests take part, what the photo wall costs and how long you can keep collecting.
We checked all prices and features on each provider's own website on October 21, 2026. They change, so check the provider's site for current prices before you buy.

How we scored each app
Applying the six criteria gives this ranking. Totals are weighted scores out of 5.
Criterion | Lense | POV | Fotify | Guestpix | Kululu | Google Photos |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Fun (25%) | 5 | 5 | 3 | 3 | 3 | 2 |
Easy to join (20%) | 5 | 4 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 3 |
Value (20%) | 5 | 4 | 4 | 3 | 3 | 4 |
Photo wall (15%) | 5 | 3 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 1 |
Reviews (10%) | 5 | 5 | 3 | 4 | 4 | 3 |
Limits (10%) | 3 | 3 | 4 | 4 | 4 | 5 |
Total | 4.8 | 4.1 | 4.0 | 3.9 | 3.9 | 2.9 |
Two scores need explaining. POV gets 4 for joining because it needs a connection to send in photos, while Lense keeps working offline after joining. Google Photos gets 3: guests can open the album by QR code in the browser, but Google's help doesn't say whether they can add photos without a Google account.

Guestpix: 4.8 from 27 reviews (own website)
Kululu: 4.7 from 500+ reviews (own website)
Fotify: no rating listed (own website)
Google Photos: not rated here, as a general photo app
The 6 party photo sharing apps in detail
1. Lense: disposable camera with live photo wall included (4.8/5)
Best known for: a disposable camera on every guest's phone, with the live photo wall included. Price at 50 guests: $14.99 one-time.
Joining Lense's demo event on a phone took seconds: a tap, your name and a second tap, with no account or download. Guests then shoot in the browser or add photos from their camera roll. You choose the shot limit and the reveal: live during the party or the next morning. Compared with POV, the live photo wall is included and guests keep shooting when the signal drops. Compared with the album apps, you get the same shared album plus the disposable camera feature. A 100-guest Lense event collects about 780 photos and videos on average.
"Real moments, real memories, captured effortlessly." (Naomi, 50th birthday, the Netherlands)
Pros: camera, reveal and photo wall in one price; works offline after joining; 12 months of storage
Cons: 25 shots per guest by default (unlimited +$10.00, video +$9.99); no invitations or guestbook
Source: lense.app, checked October 21, 2026.
2. POV: the best-known disposable camera app (4.1/5)
Best known for: the largest review base of any disposable camera app. Price at 50 guests: $14.99 one-time; the live slideshow is a paid upgrade.
The guest experience is close to Lense: QR code, no download (an App Clip on iPhone, a web page on Android), a shot limit and a reveal time you choose. The base price matches Lense at every guest count we checked. The differences are at the edges: POV adds photobooks and an NFC block guests can tap, but charges for the slideshow and needs a connection to send in photos. One host on POV's site set the reveal for her nephew's actual birthday, a few days after the party, so he had something to look forward to.
Pros: 4.9 stars from 15K App Store ratings; guests join through an App Clip on iPhone
Cons: photo wall is a paid add-on; patchy venue signal stops photos coming in; hosts need the POV app to create a personal event
Source: pov.camera, checked October 21, 2026.
3. Fotify: photo album plus party planning (4.0/5)
Best known for: party planning and photo sharing in one tool. Price at 50 guests: $29.99 one-time, $49.99 with video.
Like Guestpix, Fotify collects photos rather than making photo taking a game. Where Guestpix adds a guestbook, Fotify adds RSVPs, table seating and DJ song requests by QR code. Its live carousel works like the walls of Lense and Kululu, and it is on the free plan too.
Pros: the most planning features in this list; carousel on every plan
Cons: uploads close after 30 days and the gallery after 90 days; no star rating on its own site; the free plan compresses photos and has no bulk download
Source: fotify.app, checked October 21, 2026.
4. Guestpix: guest album with RSVPs and guestbook (3.9/5)
Best known for: a private guest album with invitations, RSVPs and a guestbook. Price at 50 guests: $39.00 one-time, $49.00 with video.
Guests scan a QR code and upload what is already on their phone. There is no in-app camera, shot limit or reveal, so it feels more like an album than a game. What Guestpix adds over Lense and POV is everything around the photos: a digital invitation with RSVPs, a written guestbook and a 3-month upload window.
Pros: the longest upload window of the event apps; used at 150,000+ events
Cons: no video on the cheapest party plan; more than twice the price of Lense at 50 guests; unlimited guests is a limited-time offer, capped at 1,000
Source: guestpix.com, checked October 21, 2026.
5. Kululu: photo wall with captions and video (3.9/5)
Best known for: its live photo wall. Price at 50 guests: €39.00 one-time.
Underneath the wall, Kululu is a shared album like Guestpix and Fotify, and Lense, Guestpix and Fotify include a live wall too. What does stand out: guests can add captions and text posts, and video is included on every plan, free included. Joining its demo album on a phone was just as easy as Lense: your name and one tap. One host on Kululu's site says guests loved seeing themselves starring on the wall.
Pros: photos, videos and captions on every plan; 10,000+ party hosts
Cons: 500 uploads on the €39 plan; uploads close after 1 month, storage ends after 3 months; the free plan saves uploads in standard quality only
Source: kululu.com, checked October 21, 2026.
6. Google Photos: free shared album (2.9/5)
Best known for: free shared albums. Price at 50 guests: free.
Google Photos is not an event app, but a shared album with Collaborate turned on does the basic job, shared by link or the album's QR code. Everything the other five add is missing: no shot limit, no reveal, no live wall.
Pros: no fees, no event limits; photos stay as long as the album exists
Cons: built around Google accounts, and Google's help doesn't say whether guests without one can add photos

Which party photo app fits your party?
The right app depends on the type of party. For most parties, Lense provides the most flexibility and fun. But others excel in different areas. Our pick for three common use cases:
Birthday party, business event or wedding: choose Lense
Put the QR code on the cake table and set the reveal for the next morning, so the birthday starts again over breakfast. One Lense host in Tilburg used it for her daughter's 18th birthday and later for her own wedding. With 7 guests or fewer it's free; 50 guests cost $14.99, with the photo wall included. Add a photo scavenger hunt and the camera becomes a game: our guide on how to make a party unforgettable has more photo games guests actually play.
If you need an invitation template: choose Fotify
For a graduation party, an anniversary or anything where you send invitations first, Fotify puts it all in one place: digital invitations, RSVPs, table seating, a live photo carousel and the photo album. The Photo Gallery plan costs $29.99; video needs the $49.99 plan. You trade the camera game for the planning tools.
No budget: choose Google Photos
Create a shared album, turn on Collaborate and print the album's QR code. It costs nothing and has no event limits, but there is no reveal or photo wall, and photo taking stays separate from the party. Test the link on a phone that isn't signed in to Google before guests arrive. Is it a small get-together? Lense's free plan for up to 7 guests gives you the camera and the wall at the same price: nothing.
Is there a free party photo sharing app?
Yes, but every free plan has a catch. Event apps cap free use by guests, photos or days; Google Photos has no caps but is built around Google accounts.
App | Free limit | Upload window | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|
Lense | Up to 7 guests, 25 shots each | Not listed | 12 months |
POV | Up to 10 guests | Not listed | Not listed |
Guestpix | Up to 50 photos | 30 days | Not listed |
Fotify | Up to 50 photos | 7 days | 7 days |
Kululu | Up to 100 uploads | 24 hours | 7 days |
Google Photos | No event limit | No limit | No limit |
For a small get-together, Lense (up to 7 guests) and POV (up to 10) cover the whole party for free, camera and reveal included; Lense adds the photo wall. For a bigger party on zero budget, Google Photos is the honest pick, but test the album link on a phone that isn't signed in to Google before the party. Anything in between costs less than you might think: $4.99 for 25 guests on Lense or POV.
How to use a party photo app at your party
Set it up a few days before. Name the event, pick a shot limit and choose when photos reveal. Most apps let you create the event for free and pay later.
Print the QR code where people wait. The bar, the cake table and the bathroom mirror work better than the entrance. Our free QR code generator has templates.
Announce it once. A ten-second mention during a toast does more than any sign.
Put the photo wall on a TV. Guests who see their own photo on the screen take more.
Reveal it the next morning. A delayed reveal gives everyone a reason to open the album together.
The verdict
Pick Lense if you want guests to actually take part: a camera on every phone, a reveal to look forward to and a live wall, for $14.99 at 50 guests. Pick POV if you want the biggest name and are willing to sacrifice on some features, and don't mind paying extra for the slideshow. Pick Guestpix or Fotify if invitations, RSVPs or a guestbook matter more than the camera. Pick Google Photos if it truly has to cost nothing.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best party photo sharing app?
For most parties, Lense (4.8/5 in our comparison): guests join by QR code without a download, the live photo wall is included, and 50 guests cost $14.99 one-time. Google photos is the best free option if you're willing to sacrifice on a bunch of features.
What is the best free party photo sharing app?
For up to 7 guests, Lense's free plan gives you the full disposable camera experience, live photo wall included; POV's free plan covers up to 10 guests but without the photo wall. For a bigger party at no cost, a Google Photos shared album has no event limits, but you give up the fun: no camera, no reveal and no photo wall, and it is built around Google accounts.
Can guests join with a QR code?
Yes. Lense, POV, Guestpix, Fotify and Kululu create a party QR code automatically. In Google Photos, open the shared album, tap Share and choose Show QR Code.
Do guests need to download an app?
Not for Lense, POV, Guestpix, Fotify or Kululu; guests use the browser, or an App Clip on iPhone for POV. With Google Photos, anyone with the link can view the album without the app; Google's help doesn't say whether guests can add photos without a Google account.
Do party photo apps work on Android?
Yes, all six work on iPhone and Android. Lense and POV uses a web page on Android instead of an App Clip; the others run in any phone browser.
Can I remove photos before anyone sees them?
Yes, in all six. Lense lets you review uploads before the reveal and filters inappropriate content automatically. POV hosts can delete guest photos at any time. Guestpix includes content moderation on every party plan, Kululu detects most inappropriate uploads automatically, and Fotify offers moderation on every plan. In Google Photos, the album owner can remove photos or turn off Collaborate.
Who owns the photos?
You do, with the event apps. Lense, Guestpix and Kululu all state that the photos belong to you; Guestpix and Kululu add that they never use them themselves. Check how long they stay online, though: from 3 months on Kululu Plus to 12 months on Lense and Guestpix.
How many photos should each guest get?
For most parties, 10 to 25. A limit makes guests pick their moments, which means fewer blurry duplicates and more variety. Lense defaults to 25 shots per guest, and a 100-guest event collects about 780 photos on average, so not every guest uses all of them. Remove the limit if the party runs all day or weekend.
Is a party photo app cheaper than disposable cameras?
Almost always. A 50-guest party costs $14.99 on Lense or POV, about the price of one physical disposable camera before developing. Read our full disposable camera app vs. physical cameras comparison.
