Terms of Service

Last updated and in effect from: 14-10-2026

1. Who we are and what these Terms cover

Lense is a service of Rewaive B.V. ("Lense", "we", "us"), a company registered in the Netherlands:

  • Address: Lieshoutsedijk 21 A, 5491 SN Sint-Oedenrode, the Netherlands
  • Chamber of Commerce (KvK): 94766878
  • VAT number: NL866886722B01
  • Email: [email protected]

These Terms apply to the Lense app, the Lense App Clip and instant app, the Lense web camera and the website lense.app (together: the "Service"). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. It is not part of these Terms.

2. Accepting these Terms

You accept these Terms when you create an account, join an event or buy something through Lense. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. How Lense works

  • An organizer creates an event and invites guests, for example with a QR code or a link.
  • Guests join the event and take or upload photos and videos ("Content"). Guests do not pay anything.
  • The organizer decides how the event works, for example how many guests can join, how many photos each guest can take and when the photos are revealed.
  • Content is visible to the organizer and, depending on the event settings, to the other participants. The organizer can also show the photos live on a screen at the event, and share a link that shows the album to anyone who has the link.

4. Age

  • You must be at least 18 to buy anything on Lense.
  • Guests must be at least 16. Younger guests may only take part under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

5. Your account

  • Keep your login details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens with your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time in the app settings, or by emailing [email protected].
  • When you delete your account, photos and videos you added to other people's events stay in those events, without your name (see section 8).
  • If you organize events and delete your account, your events are deleted too, including all photos and videos in them. Download what you want to keep first, and let your guests know so they can do the same.

6. If you organize an event

You are responsible for your event. In particular, you:

  • tell your guests that their photos and videos are shared with you and the other participants, and with anyone you show them to or share an album link with;
  • only show the live slideshow and share album links where your guests would expect it;
  • take extra care with photos of children and with people who do not want to be photographed;
  • remove Content or guests when there is a good reason to do so;
  • only send messages to your guests that relate to your event.

7. Rules for using Lense

You may not upload, share or send Content that:

  • is illegal, or infringes someone else's rights, such as copyright or portrait rights;
  • contains nudity or sexual content, violence or hate;
  • harasses, threatens or discriminates against others;
  • contains malware or is meant to disrupt the Service.

You also may not misuse the Service, for example by trying to access other people's events or data, by collecting data from the Service automatically, or by overloading our systems.

8. Your Content

  • You keep your rights. Photos and videos you upload remain yours.
  • What the organizer and other guests may do. By uploading Content to an event, you allow the organizer and the other participants of that event to view, download and keep it, and to use it for personal, non-commercial purposes, such as a wedding album, prints, or sharing with family and friends. If you organize an event for your business, you may only use guests' Content commercially, for example on your website or social media, with their permission.
  • What Lense may do. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, process and show your Content, only as far as needed to run the Service. For example: to make previews and film effects, run automated checks, make backups, show your Content to the people who have access to the event, and create downloads. We do not sell your Content, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing without your separate permission.
  • Deleting Content. If you delete a photo or video, we remove it from the event. If you delete your account, the Content you added to other people's events stays there without your name until the event is deleted, so the organizer does not lose it. If you want it removed, delete it before you delete your account, or ask us at [email protected]. Copies that others have already downloaded are outside our control.
  • Your promise. You confirm that you have the right to upload your Content and that it does not infringe anyone's rights.

9. Content moderation and reports

  • Automated checks. We automatically check uploaded photos for nudity and explicit content, using software on our own servers. Photos that the check flags are removed automatically. Automated checks can make mistakes. If you think a photo was removed by mistake, let us know (see below). Messages that organizers send to their guests are automatically checked for abusive content before they are sent.
  • Other measures. We may also remove Content, limit features or suspend accounts if we find, or are told about, Content or behavior that breaks the law or these Terms.
  • We tell you why. When we remove your Content or restrict your account, you can ask us at [email protected] what we did and why, and whether the decision was made automatically. We are working on telling you this automatically.
  • If you disagree. Email [email protected]. A person will review the decision and let you know the outcome. You can also go to court.
  • Reporting Content. Anyone can report Content they believe is illegal or breaks these Terms, including people who appear in a photo but do not use Lense. Email [email protected] with:
    1. where the Content is, for example the event link or a description of the event and the photo;
    2. why you believe it is illegal or breaks these Terms;
    3. your name and email address (not needed when reporting child sexual abuse material);
    4. a statement that you believe your report is accurate and complete.
    We handle reports carefully and objectively, and we let you know our decision.
  • Contact point. Our contact point for users and authorities under the EU Digital Services Act is [email protected]. You can contact us in English or Dutch.

10. Paid features

  • What you can buy. Organizers can buy paid features for an event, such as a larger guest package, unlimited photos, videos or extra storage time. What you get is shown before you buy. Purchases are one-time payments per event. A guest package cannot be downgraded after purchase.
  • Who sells it. You buy paid features from a reseller: Apple (App Store), Google (Google Play) or Paddle (checkout on our website). Business plans are sold through Lemon Squeezy. The reseller is the seller of your purchase. It processes the payment, sends the invoice, charges VAT, and handles your statutory right of withdrawal and refunds under its own terms.
  • Prices. We may change our prices. A price change never affects a purchase you have already made.
  • Free use. You can use Lense for free within certain limits. We may change these limits for new events. Events you have already created keep their limits.

11. Fair Refund Guarantee

On top of your statutory rights, we offer this voluntary guarantee:

  • If fewer than 50 photos and videos were uploaded to your event, you can get a full refund of what you paid for that event. Photos and videos that were deleted later still count, except those removed by our automated checks. You don't need to give a reason.
  • Ask for it by email at [email protected] within 30 days after the event date.
  • The guarantee applies once per event.
  • If you paid through Google Play or Paddle, we refund you through that channel. If you paid through the App Store, first request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple declines, let us know and we will refund you ourselves.
  • After a refund, the paid features for that event end.

12. How long we keep your event

  • We keep the photos and videos of an event for at least 12 months after the event date, unless the organizer deletes the event or the Content sooner. A paid storage extension makes this period longer.
  • After that period, we may delete them. We tell the organizer at least 30 days in advance, so there is time to download everything.
  • Lense is not a backup service. We make regular backups, but we cannot guarantee that data will never be lost. Download the photos and videos that matter to you.

13. Availability and changes to the Service

  • We work hard to keep Lense available and reliable, but we cannot promise that it will always work without interruptions or errors, for example during maintenance or when an app store, network or other provider has problems.
  • We may improve and change the Service. If a change significantly reduces a paid feature you have already bought, we tell you in advance. You may then end that purchase and get a proportional refund.

14. Liability

  • Our total liability to an organizer for all claims relating to one event is limited to €250, or to the amount paid for that event if that is higher.
  • Our total liability to a guest for all claims relating to one event is limited to €100.
  • For claims not related to an event, our total liability is limited to €250.
  • If you use Lense for your business, we are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profit, lost income or missed business opportunities.
  • These limits do not apply if the damage is caused by our intent or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow a limit.
  • Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
  • You are responsible for the Content you upload. If someone holds us liable because of your Content or because you broke these Terms, you compensate us for the resulting damage, unless you are not to blame.

15. Suspending or ending your use

  • You can stop using Lense and delete your account at any time.
  • We may suspend or end your account, or remove an event, if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms or the law, or if the law requires us to. If you seriously break these Terms, for example by uploading illegal Content, you are not entitled to a refund.
  • If we end your account because you seriously broke these Terms, you may not create a new account without our permission.
  • We may also end the Service or your account for another reason. In that case, we give you at least 60 days' notice, so you have time to download your photos, and a proportional refund for paid features you can no longer use.

16. Changes to these Terms

  • We may change these Terms, for example because of new features or new laws.
  • We tell you about important changes at least 30 days before they take effect, by email or in the app.
  • If you do not agree, you can delete your account before the change takes effect. If you keep using Lense after that, the new Terms apply.
  • Changes that the law requires, or changes that are only in your favor, can take effect sooner.

17. Our rights and other services

  • The Lense app, website, software, design and brand belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only to use the Service as intended. You may not use the Lense name or logo without our permission.
  • If you send us ideas or suggestions for Lense, we may use them freely, without paying you or owing you anything.
  • Lense works with services of other companies, such as Apple, Google and Paddle, for sign-in, notifications and payments. Their own terms apply to your use of those services.

18. Other provisions

  • If a provision of these Terms is invalid, the rest remains valid.
  • We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another company, for example if Lense is sold, as long as your rights are not reduced. We tell you in advance, and you can delete your account if you do not agree.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our permission.
  • We are not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, war, or large internet outages or cyberattacks that we could not reasonably prevent.

19. Governing law and disputes

  • Dutch law applies to these Terms. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
  • Please contact us first at [email protected]. Most issues can be solved quickly.
  • If you are a consumer, you can bring a dispute before the court that has jurisdiction under the law.
  • If you use Lense for your business, disputes are submitted exclusively to the court of Oost-Brabant ('s-Hertogenbosch), the Netherlands.
